Dr. Jennifer Khoury works with children, adolescents, and their parents to help address a broad range of mental health difficulties. She primarily uses cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), but incorporates other evidence-based treatment approaches, such as dialectical behavioural strategies, to help children and adolescents achieve change.
Dr. Khoury has experience working with children and adolescents who are experiencing difficulties in a variety of areas, including anxiety (e.g., social anxiety, generalized anxiety, specific phobias), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression and low mood, coping with stress, low self-esteem, difficulty managing emotions, and behavioural challenges (non-compliance and defiance). She also has considerable experience in comprehensive diagnostic and psychoeducational assessments.
Dr. Khoury completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto and received her Masters and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), where she received training in individual and group-based interventions and comprehensive assessments. Dr. Khoury is also currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Mount Saint Vincent University.
