Dr. Grace Schwenck (Psychologist - Candidate Register) works with adults navigating a wide range of mental health and life challenges. She provides evidence-based treatment grounded in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), while also drawing on acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and emotion-focused therapy (EFT). Her approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed, supporting clients in building practical skills and meaningful change in their lives. She is committed to creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward their goals.
Dr. Schwenck works with adults managing anxiety (e.g., generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, phobias), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, and adult ADHD (i.e., treatment/coaching only, not assessment). She also supports clients with sleep difficulties, chronic pain, trauma-related challenges, and perinatal mental health concerns. She takes a holistic approach, recognizing how mental health, physical well-being, and life circumstances intersect.
Dr. Schwenck completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo and earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Dalhousie University. She completed her clinical residency with the University of Manitoba/Shared Health Clinical Health Psychology Program, where she received specialized training in adult mental health and health-related psychotherapy.
